Coops has a budget for work health and safety management along with including safety and training as a line item within the profit and loss statements in order to show due diligence in meeting the WHS Act requirements.
As health and safety is an integral part of Coops core operations, we have designed, developed and implemented an effective safety management system that outlines our methods for managing reporting, responsibilities, planning and resourcing to create a safer workplace.
Upon being awarded any works, the Coops team formulate a “Project Pack” that contains all relevant safety documentation including required Job Hazards Analysis, Risk Assessments and Safe Work Method statements, just to name a few that ensure that both Coops and our clients WHS obligations are discharged effectively.

Coops Qld takes compliance and licensing seriously. Many of our competitors simply cannot compete with our efforts for compliance with all relevant legislation.
This includes the BIF Act (Building Industry Fairness (Security of Payment) Act 2017)*, QBCC Act 1991 and WHS Act 2011. Non-compliance can be far-reaching and may include severe penalties for both the contractor AND those who engage them. Heavy fines from the QBCC may also apply to those who engage inappropriately licensed contractors.
